چکیده

The single-pass second-harmonic generation (SHG) of a vortex beam under low fundamental wave depletion is systematically studied. Vortex modes at 1064 nm with integer topological charges from ±1 to ±9 and fractional ones ±0.75 are generated by modulating the Gaussian different spiral phase plates. frequency doubling these realized via SHG through KTP. A detailed theoretical model set up in beams. Theoretical analysis indicates that higher order beams, lower efficiency, when waists power given. experimentally measured output characteristics verify those obtained analysis. Conservation orbital angular momentum during process also verified, regardless or SH LG0,2l beams high mode purity obtained. fundamental/SH KTP using 4f system demonstrate Rayleigh ranges same. paper comprehensively presents some basic laws beam. Second-harmonic generation in vortex-induced waveguides.

We study the second-harmonic generation and localization of light in a reconfigurable waveguide induced by an optical vortex soliton in a defocusing Kerr medium. We show that the vortex-induced waveguide greatly improves conversion efficiency from the fundamental to the second-harmonic field.

Second- and third-harmonic generation with vector Gaussian beams

We consider second-harmonic generation (SHG) and third-harmonic generation (THG) in a nonlinear optical crystal illuminated by a vector Gaussian beam, i.e., a Gaussian beam in which the axial component of the excitation field is considered. This component exhibits twice the Gouy phase shift of the transverse component and vanishes at points on the beam axis. Harmonic generation stemming from th...

Generation of second-harmonic beams with switchable curved trajectories

Beamswhich follow curved trajectories are useful in a variety of applications, but up to now have been realized mainly in linear media. We demonstrate theoretically and experimentally the generation of second-harmonic (SH) beams which follow arbitrary convex caustic trajectories. These beams are created in a nonlinear photonic crystal with a second-order susceptibility having a tailored pattern...

Polarization pattern of vector vortex beams generated by q-plates with different topological charges.

We describe the polarization topology of the vector beams emerging from a patterned birefringent liquid crystal plate with a topological charge q at its center (q-plate). The polarization topological structures for different q-plates and different input polarization states have been studied experimentally by measuring the Stokes parameters point-by-point in the beam transverse plane. Furthermor...

C W second harmonic generation with elliptical Gaussian beams

We present a study of the efficiency and optimization of cw second harmonic generation by elliptical Gaussian laser beams. Elliptical focusing slightly improves conversion efficiency and reduces crystal damage risk when heavy walk-off is present. Single-pass measurements of the efficiency for doubling 5 15-nm radiation in beta-barium borate (BBO) agree with theory. Thermal effects, caused by ra...
